Job Summary
As the Academic Director, you will be responsible for leading the institution's academic strategy, curriculum development, faculty excellence, and programme delivery to ensure high-quality educational outcomes.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement academic strategies, curriculum frameworks, and learning programmes aligned with the institution's vision and objectives
• Lead faculty recruitment, development, mentoring, and performance management to drive academic excellence
• Build strategic partnerships with educational institutions, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to enhance programme quality and impact
• Monitor academic performance, programme effectiveness, and learning outcomes while ensuring compliance with educational standards
• Represent the institution at academic engagements, prepare academic reports, and support research, grants, and institutional development initiatives
Requirements
• Master's degree or PhD in Education, Fine Arts, Art Education, Design, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in academic leadership, curriculum development, or programme management within the education sector
• Strong understanding of curriculum design, faculty development, educational quality assurance, and academic governance
• Experience collaborating with higher institutions, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies; familiarity with NUC, NBTE, or related accreditation frameworks is an added advantage
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills with a proven track record of delivering impactful educational programmes
