Job Summary
As the Medical Officer (Oncology), you will be responsible for providing quality oncology care, supporting radiotherapy treatment, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
• Provide clinical care, consultations, and follow-up management for oncology patients
• Support radiotherapy planning, treatment protocols, and multidisciplinary case reviews
• Counsel patients on treatment options, medication, and post-treatment care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and infection control practices
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Medicine (MBBS) with a valid practicing license
• Must have completed NYSC with a minimum of 1–3 years' post-NYSC clinical experience
• Experience or interest in Oncology, Internal Medicine, or related clinical practice is an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of patient assessment, clinical management, and evidence-based practice
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient management skills
